Scoring

The games from ConectaGames have two scoring systems:

Weekly Ranking

The Weekly Ranking is renewed every week. The 3 players with the highest score for the week are the winners. They can be seen in the game.

First place is awarded 20 credits plus the number of credits purchased for the week.

The players will earn 10 points each time they win a game, but only games with different players will count. Example: If you win 3 games with the same player in the week, you will only add 10 points. Losing matches does not subtract points.

When the difference in ELO level is over 1 then those matches don’t count towards the Ranking. For example, if a player level C wins a match against a player level B, C, or D, it counts towards the Ranking, but if the player wins a match against a player level A or E it doesn’t count towards the ranking.

The player can see in the lobby their current score, the time remaining for the new classification, and the 3 best players who are leading the ranking of the week.

On Mondays at 02:00 GMT -3, the ranking is reset.

ELO Ranking

The ELO Ranking is the historical ranking of the player since they first entered the game. Every player who enters ConectaGames games for the first time starts with an ELO ranking of 1500 points.

The ranking score varies based on win matches, loss matches, opponent level, and abandoned matches.

If the user beats a player who has a higher ELO ranking, they will score more points than beating a player who has a lower ELO ranking.

If the user is defeated by a player with a lower ELO ranking, they will lose more points than being defeated by a player with a higher ELO ranking.

The player who leaves the table loses the match and is penalized by paying the rest of the players the credits corresponding to the table, in addition to losing points from his ELO ranking.

The number of points a player has determines his level in the ranking. If the player has more than 1625 points they will be in level A. Between 1525 and 1625 points they will be in level B. Between 1475 and 1525 points they will be in level C. Between 1425 and 1475 points they will be in level D. Finally if the player has less than 1425 points will be in level E.

The ELO ranking is displayed at the top of the game, next to the player’s name. The global ranking is also displayed in the game, where you can see the scores of the top four players.
